The eighth edition of Hans Terzer's dream wine was officially presented at the winery on 4 November. The Cuvée of white wines, which has always been one of our masterpieces, is the result of meticulous work on the pre-selection that has never been more crucial than in 2017 to achieve one of the most complex wines from this vintage in recent years.
Appius 2017 is made up of "top selections", half of which come from old vineyards that are now permanently used to make the cuvée, and half from vineyards that are less frequented but which this year were considered congenial to the interpretation of the vintage and to the achievement of Terzer's oenological objectives. Chardonnay predominates (54%), followed by Pinot Grigio (24%), Sauvignon Blanc (12%) and Pinot Blanc (10%).
